picDavid Goyer is set to take on a Showtime TV series based on the "100 Bullets" graphic novel from DC Comics as both executive producer and writer reports Deadline.

Goyer is no stranger to adapting the world of comics having written, or co-written, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel, the new Ghost Rider: Spirits of Vengeance and more. Goyer has also penned JSA for DC Comics, in addition to the recent Action Comics #900 Superman story that saw Big Blue renounce his citizenship.

The "100 Bullets" comic was written by Brian Azzarello with art by Eduardo Risso. The general premise behind the book is one of revenge; if you had the oppurtunity to get away with murder, would you? The person is provided 100 bullets that can't be traced from an Agent Graves. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, as the real story lies behind a group of secret men and their societies - and how the people chosen for the 100 bullets are related.
