Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Director Coulson on Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., participated in a fan QnA on Reddit possibly dropping some hints of what is to come for Season 2.

It's possible we could see Chris Evans Captain America appear on an episode, and maybe even Captain Marvel.

Regarding Mar-vell, Coulson received a transfusion from a blue alien who Chloe Bennett (Skye) previously confirmed was a Kree.

Readers of the comic books know that Captain Marvel was a Kree who bonded with an Earth man (Rick Jones).

Well, Clark Gregg says two interesting things: He says now that he has the blue alien blood, he feels worthy enough to lift Thor's hammer. Clark Gregg also says if he could play another character it would be Captain Marvel.

Do you think Coulson is worthy enough to pick up Thor's hammer?

In the past, I would say no. But now with the magical blue alien blood coursing through his veins, I suspect the hammer won't be much of a problem for Phil.

If you could be anyone else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe besides Coulson, who would you be?

Captain Marvel.

For the Captain America appearance, Clark Gregg's response indicates not only that Chris Evans could possibly appear on an episode of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., but that the Avengers (or just Cap) might learn he is alive. You may recall that Coulson's death is what brought the Avengers together in the movie.

Did you ever get your Cap' card signed?

That's a very good question. If I were you, I would check out Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Clark Gregg also previously offered that Season 2 will be darker and not have as many breaks between episodes.

Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC this Fall in its new time of 9pm ET.
