Today would have marked the 92nd birthday of sci-fi writer Ray Bradbury.

To commemorate not only the day, but also the legacy of the legendary Ray Bradbury, NASA has officially announced that the Mars Curiosity landing site is named the "Bradbury Landing," after the science fiction author.

The news came from the NASA Curiosity Twitter feed with the following image:

"In tribute, I dedicate my landing spot on Mars to you, Ray Bradbury. Greetings from Bradbury Landing!"

Bradbury passed away on June 5th and of course is noted for the Martian Chronicles, amongst many other great works.
