A lot of great action and sharp characterization are packed into the latest episode of Avengers Assemble, "Hulk's Day Out."

While there is the usual Disney XD humor, there is great soul to this adventure with an amnesiac Hulk falling from space and eventually leading the group to one of its best adventures in this cartoon series.

With guest stars including Ben Grimm, Spider-Man and the dream weaver Glorian, the Avengers' efforts to find out where Hulk's mind mystery began leads to a Grade A opus of entertainment.

Things eventually land upon the fabled Blue Area of the moon, where Thor and the Hulk had been competing in a "who's strongest" contest. The monster du jour, looking somewhat like a cross between a cosmic octopus and Shuma Gorath, is destroying the moon and will eventually set its sites on Earth.

Enter the Hulk, memory restored. No need for the Assemblers on this one, as the rampaging jade behemoth tears the cosmic octo from limb to limb. Seems it has been holding one of the Hulk's crystal menagerie statues.

Like I said, there's a lot of in-humor, and as always such is welcomed in such a tune.

If you are a lover of subtlety and joy in your toons, the ending of this adventure stands alone as one of the best ever. And not a single word is spoken.

For my Marvel toon bucks, make mine Avengers Assemble. Great show!
