Some might regard today's offering on Disney XD as just another S.M.A.S.H. toon, but this in my mind is one of the best Marvel animated stories made. Ever!

First, it delves into Red Hulk's past as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, long-time historic foe of the Incredible Hulk. Secondly, it has the best climax of any superhero cartoon I've ever seen ... well, at least within the last several years.

The story of the titular Abomination becomes the legendary story of General Ross vs. Hulk, and what has happened since in this Marvel Toon Universe and how they came together as S.M.A.S.H. It also shows that there are feelings on both sides, Ross and Hulk, that needed to be forgiven.

if you were reading comics when Ross was still at his height of power, chasing the green goliath across the deserts of the American west, then this will really strike at your heart as a Marvel True Believer. As it did me

Very well done, very nostalgic, and a true trip down Memory Lane for long-time Incredible Hulk fans.

Thanks, Hulk and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. team!
